Purpose and Mission
Introduction to Worldwide Educational Accrediting Commission
Worldwide Educational Accrediting Commission exists to aid in Christian education all over the world. We are unique for the following reasons:
WEAC has both fundamental and ecumenical colleges and schools in our membership. This is excellent because it offers a better understanding of other philosophies that we may not agree with. Education itself is a process of learning by trial and error. We do not have a set doctrinal statement for these reasons.
WEAC is very interested in cultural exchange between nations, states, and peoples all over the world. WEAC is the most useful vehicle at this time to do this.
WEAC is not directly governmental in our accreditation because we represent countries of varied governmental and political persuasions. We do however, welcome recognition by governments that can be of means to help us be accepted in academic circles.
WEAC maintains high standards of education and qualifications of schools and faculty to teach the courses that we offer. When an institution has the WEAC seal of approval, we want the world to know that they have met certain educational qualifications and recommendations.
WEAC is not interested in “Diploma Mills” that offer degrees based on pay only and no education to substantiate the degree.
WEAC members are expected to abide by the code of ethics for Worldwide Educational Accrediting Commission.
WEAC is an international accrediting commission society for preparation of quality education in the private schools, colleges, and theological seminaries. WEAC holds as its primary objective the encouragement and maintenance of sound scholarship with its primary focus being the highest academic achievement in the areas of private education. WEAC understands that quality education is the key goal at all times.
